One of the first challenges many women face in their peri menopause and menopause journeys is learning how to navigate their hormonal rollercoaster and understand what is happening to their body and their mind – not least because nobody has ever told them what to expect. And despite a menopause revolution that is most definitely underway, access to gold standard evidence-based menopause care is still something many women struggle with.
That’s where our Harley Street at Home menopause clinics and our team of menopause specialist nurses and doctors come in. Our British Menopause Society (BMS) accredited experts are on hand to answer your questions on symptoms, diagnosis and treatments, and arm you with everything you need to know to make an informed choice about your menopause care, and speak to your doctor with confidence.
Whether you’re just starting out on your Hormone Replace Therapy (HRT) journey and have questions on how to use it or what to ask your doctor for, or are confused about blood tests, or perhaps want to know more about testosterone, drop by one of our regular menopause clinics and our resident menopause specialist experts will share the evidence-based holistic guidance you need to make things clearer.
The menopause clinics are all part of our Harley Street at Home supported care membership, and as a member you can stop by one or all of the clinics as needed. No appointment needed.
It goes without saying we’re absolutely thrilled to be working with a fantastic team of menopause specialists to give you the very best menopause specialist care at Harley Street at Home Menopause. Their British Menopause Society gold standard guidance and holistic care is second to none, and the feedback we get from members is testament to this, so why not check out a clinic soon?
In the meantime, here’s a quick introduction to our fabulous team of medics:
Dr Sam Brown is a GP and Menopause Specialist working at The Bronte Clinic in Chelsea, which she founded in 2021. Alongside this Sam is also an NHS GP, and until 2019 worked as a GP partner in London as mental health lead. Sam is passionate about mental health, and well aware that many women in perimenopause are misdiagnosed when it comes to mental health symptoms. Put this together with her BMS and International Menopause Society (IMS) memberships, plus her Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care, you can be sure you’re in great hands with Sam.
Dr Shashi Prasad is a GP, BMS accredited Advanced Menopause Specialist and certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. Combining her menopause training from Kings College Hospital, London, with her experience as a GP, Shashi is more than qualified to answer your questions. She is passionate about evidence-based care, and combines HRT with lifestyle modifications to transform women’s lives and help them thrive through their menopause journey.
Dr Fionnuala Barton is a GP, Women’s Health doctor and BMS member. Optimising physical and emotional wellness for women during perimenopause and menopause is at the heart of Fionnuala’s work. Her special interests include Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). Finnoula is the founder of The Menopause Clinic and passionate about providing evidence-based care and supporting women through their menopause journey.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner Aly Dilks has a wealth of experience in many areas of women’s health, including midwifery, sexual and reproductive health and menopause. Recognising patterns of symptoms in women, and her own menopause journey, led her to learn more about menopause, train as a BMS specialist and offering care herself. Aly has her own nurse-led menopause clinic - Simply Menopausal – based in Leicester.
